Moditlo is home to most of South Africa's most famous and rarest game, with more than 40 mammals and 400 bird species on the reserve. It is home to Lions, Leopards, Elephants, Wild Dogs, Spotted Hyenas, Caracals, Cheetahs, and Hippos, amongst many others. Due to the excellent veld conditions it also has a wide variety of plains game such as, Waterbuck, Wildebeest, Zebra, Giraffe, Kudu, Nyala, Duiker, Warthog, Impala, Steenbok, Tsessebe, Bushpig and dozens of other species.
